I have an 8 in 1 which folds out into a stairway ladder. Reaches pretty damn high, and sturdy as hell. Or, when in doubt use your extension ladder with a 2by4.
i like te pivit as well as a 5 in one ladder...sometimes a brush extender is also need for hard to reach places but u have to be very steady and slow when using it...
Plank and smallest extension. Old school, baby!

Mack
I like to use my Little Giant because I can set it up without touching a wall, however in some of the newer houses with high ceilings I am finding that it is too short and have to open it up and use it as an extension ladder.
ladder pivot with a little giant or small ladder
I can't figure out why those darn pivot steps are so expensive, $120.
They do work well though

I use the Pivot also, they are around $98.00 here.
Ladder with a pivit, ladder with plank, or my Little Giant. Depends on the job. ;)
Extension ladder w/plank
or
Gorilla ladder w/plank

My pivots we're on sale for around $80 when I picked them up ;)
what ive always done but its by far not the safest or the most comfortable. just take a step ladder and flip it upside down and have someone hold it from the side toward the bottom of the stairs. hurts your feet a bit but its a quick way to get to that funny spot
Little Giant, there sturdy, safe and as was said before nothing touches the wall. I love the Little Giant. Heavy but good.
