I recently had two customers on the same street wanting their faded vinyl shutters repainted. The exterior of these homes are vinyl siding so really the only painting would be some trim around the front porch and these faded shutters.

Lucrative business niche or waste of time? One customer only has 6 shutters across the front, how could I bill this lady for half a day when the other customer has 16 shutters that I would bill out at one day?

Any coating suggestions? I use Duron Signature Lifetime on other exterior surfaces.

I've never used Signature on exterior, we always use Duron's Weathershield. How well does the Signature hold up? I didn't even know Sig could be used outside. A guy I work with also told me the other day that Signature was "self-priming." I mean, I've used it on their jobs to go over oil trim, and it looked alright, would've looked better with 2 coats, plus I never really get to see how long a job can last because we paint these same places yearly before a new tenant moves in, and they are usually trashed. Seen a couple of maggots crawling out of the carpet today, I'm not lying.
