I have several of these double wides to paint the interior of. I have already done 2 of them and so far they have taken a primer coat (bond coat primer) and 2 complete finish coats to cover. (including cutting in) I am brushing and rolling so I have to completely paint these things three times. The paneling is dark paneling with grooves. Any short cuts, or a way that I can get these to cover with one coat of finish?

(1)theres only one way to paint mobilehomes/trailers and thats use good stain/sealer primer, sometimes 2 coats (depends on how greasy the walls are)(2) never try and fill in the panel lines! they still show! hrs of work for nuttin.(3) shake out your tarps real good before loadin them back in the van!

I once used a texture product with a roller along with filling in the grooves with spackle; then the primer/topcoats. It was tedious and very time consuming and I never did it again! It did look pretty good though.

It can be done like that and would look good, but round here aint no body in a trailer gonna have the funds to pay for the time it takes to make the lines disaper.they usually got their wallmart paint waitin on the porch.and askin bout a payment plan before you even give the bid.
