I cover the pile of furniture with poly, then a drop, the floor gets drops.

are you talking about painting the ceiling or walls or both? If it's ceilings, I just make small areas to walk in and go at it, drape plastic over top of furniture or course. If it's the walls, I throw down some drops and have at it..

kind of a basic question huh?

are you the guy that's just starting out?

Hey man, there are some great books at your local public library that are for DIY painters. I checked out a couple just for *hits and giggles, and I did find out a couple things I didn't know already. Can't remember the names, but if you are interested, I could look them up for you.

When painting a room with carpet and the furniture is stacked in the middle of the room what is your standard procedure before you start painting.
