Just a quick update:

I called NEC PDCA executive director and she said non-members are welcomed - no, ENCOURAGED to attend. There is NO cost difference between members and non-members.

So PLEASE all, at least check out what the convention will be offering, this looks like a winner for all.

http://www.newenglandcouncilpdca.org/Convention_and_Vendor_Expo.html

some of the workshop/seminars that caught my eye were:

Working Hard & Losing Money: Estimating, Tracking & Business Software
Customers - They Grow on Trees, RIght? Finding and Marketing Clients
Employees - Keys to Our Success & our biggest headache
Growing Your Business and Hanging Up Your Tools
No-VOC/Low-VOC Coatings
Communication Skills
Change Orders/Work Orders
Mold & Mildew

And something not for me, but for a lot of others: Quick Tips on Pump Care

All this for $250 ! ($175 for spouce/employee) MEALS INCLUDED. And the Hotel is only $99 a night if you register before Oct 31 and mention the NEC PDCA.

I have been to a few pdca conventions and you always end up learning something that saves you money. Whether it be new products or techniques. The money you spend for profesional education on this is worth it.

dam, I need all those classes. Is this a once a year, one location only event? Or does it happen 3 times a year, one east, one central, and one west?

This is the NEW ENGLAND COUNCIL's yearly convention. Last year it was at Mt Snow VT.

The National PDCA convention is called PACE and will be in New Orleans, Feb 15-19, 2009. http://www.pace2009.com/

Go to the site and see if it's right for you.
