Once more I have had the opportunity and the need to review the PDCA standards.

(No, I am not a PDCA member, but the NGPP is partnered with them which allows me some benefits.)

What invaluable tools they are. Important tools for the professional.

Makes me want to ask:

Who has read them?
Who reveiws them on a regular basis?
And who quotes, includes, and/or refers to them in their proposals/contracts?

Funny you should mention PDCA, Bill. I was just talking with a fellow PT member about that organization. Sometimes I go through the PDCA message board archives when I am researching. I am currently on June through August of '07 and its fascinating.

I recently downloaded the standards and updated code of ethics. Great resources.

Let you in on a little secret, but don't tell anyone, ok ?

A while back, I had the crazy notion that it would be good if the NGPP had standards very similar to the PDCA's. As a matter of fact, I thought the PDCA Standards should be used as a springboard - adopting all of them, but just take them a further step down the wallcovering road.

I've gotten initial approval from some powers-that-be to make an outline. And now PWG has fanned the flame under my arse. He'll help.

Anyway, that is why I was once agin reveiwing them.

If anyone here wants to throw some ideas out about standards for wallcovering that would have the same effect the PDCA standards do, please toss them my way.

But please, read the PDCA standards to understand where we are going with this.
