Hi all,
Thanks to the forum creators for recognising the obvious need for a place to contribute and learn. I am really impressed with what I have seen in this place from my limited time looking.

I may be a long way from many of the other members but painting travels across borders and oceans alike. Hopefully I can contribute something sensible from time to time.

Thanks for the welcome guys, we are having a warm run at the moment with a solid week of 38 Degree (100 f) days, love the blister effect on metal!! Its too hot for the beach let alone the golf course.

Painting does indeed cross borders!! My original plan was to paint myself around the world (I was 17 at the time, just started my apprenticeship in Switzerland) and up to now I have painted in many countries and it is pretty much the same deal wherever you go. I have been to Perth, but only briefly on my way up to Broome. What a fantastic country Australia is!!! To anyone who has ever wanted to go- just do it!! Well, I guess you might want to wait untill the Dollar goes back up.. not a good time for us Americanos to go anywhere really..

We currently have a scotsman, an irshman and a bloke from the middle east ( I know its sounds like the start of a joke ) working for us, even had a mexican a while back. We see lots of people working their way around - have brush, will travel!
