One of the paint stores we deal with has offered some pretty agressive pricing on Pratt & Lambert paints. So with the vast experience of the board members, what can you tell me about this line? How do the products compare to Duration, Aura, Regal, Superpaint? Do they have a decent washable matte?

The limited experience I have with Pratt & Lambert is all positive. The Accolade line, as I remember, was great. Excellent coverage, workability (with a little thinning) . . . not too much experience, though.

If somebody is offering you great pricing I'd say it's worth a look.

i use P&L Redseal line as my main paint, There eggshell is the true matte finish in my opinion. Before all the top of line eggshells start getting very un eggshell like shiny for me that is when i made the switch. I know Accolade is good but its pricey. I do not use there exterior as I prefer cabot and have used that for years now. All tho I do get jobs spec'd BM and C2 but my choice is P&L

Recently used Pratt & Lambert on a big interior job - had to go out of town to get it. The local dealer went out of business a few years ago. P&L used to be considered high end stuff around here.

My recent experience with Accolade was quite positive and I found the price to be about the same as Beni Moore Regal (maybe slightly more)

If you mean redseal eggshell which say Aqua Matte on the label? I use that 85% of the time for my repaints, only others I use if flat for ceilings and the occasional satin for smaller baths and such. I have no problems with it and have even touched it up and we great success.

It levels out great with no lines etc.. It will flash patches a little if they are not spot primed and let that spot dry.. But never had any drying problems with it.
