a customers bought all new cabinet doors and drawer fronts that came preprimed...the primer looks very gloss and im going to sand them just in case so the paint bonds well...do u guys recamend wet sanding or dry sanding them and if so what grit....i bought 220 grit and 340 or 320 grit...en i dry sand with either alot of dust scatters...what are ur guys techniques for wet sanding....

We dont wet sand. It sounds like if your preprimed surfaces are really glossy and smooth that you might be better served to scuff them up a bit, give them some tooth. I wouldnt be over 220 on that one. Probably 150-180 and a soft hand.

i contacted the cabinet maker..the are called conastoga...it urns out i guessed right on the grit:thumbup::thumbup:..they said to use 320 and for some reason not to sand more han 24 hours before painting(i guess o make sure no moisture gets in) he also said to make sure the paint adheres to a primer that is catalized because the primer that they sprayed on had a catalyst on it to make it dry faster...hopefully yolo will do the job i cant see anything radically different happening after all the weird circumstances ive painted in:yes:
