Is it OK to wash the linen canvas that I want to use for my next painting? Im afraid washing will have an effect on the texture of the canvas and might also affect my artwork.

Is it me or do you just have issues? You said the same crap on CT when KB designs was trying to give info. I've been on this site since it started cause I was invited here and just cause I dont post often you think a persons web address is spam. I have nothing to sell to anyone here and just like to help if I can and learn something at times. I have nothing to do with the first post and honestly I didnt click on the link. If the owner of this site wants my web sites removed from my sig. I would be happy to. I'm just a house painter making a living. If you have problems with my sig., maybe you should contact the owner.

Yea, wrong site. I'm sure with a name like "Paint Talk" we are going to get all sorts of people on here looking for auto painting, art, and so on.

I thought the title "Professional Painting Contractors Forum" would be a hint but I guess not.

Ummm... It's you. The only posts I've ever marked as spam (this one and 2 on CT in my history) were determined to be spam by the forums moderators. You might want to switch to decaff (or Odouls) before you start jumping my case and claiming I have issues. :furious:

I've been involved with forums as a moderator for a REALLY long time. The spammers pretty much stick out like a sore thumb. You can purchase software bots that will spam forums with a link to your website. Nathan has this site set up about like ours for security but those pesky spams can still get through. One clue is that the e-mail has absoutely NOTHING to do with this site. Another clue is that there is only one post... Last clue is that the link takes you straight to a store where you can buy stuff! :detective:

The spammers do this because the more links you have to your website from other sites... the higher up the search engines you go for your own metatags on your site. The autospam bots will spider the internet for any forums that have the word paint. They can automatically register and then post one message... Another way to get more links is to hire Chineese :chinese: people for $0.34/hour. A bot finds the site and a real human registers and makes one post with a link. That is what it looks like here! Obviously, anyone with an IQ over 30 can quickly figure out that this site has NOTHING to do with painting on canvas. And, if you look at their site they claim to be professionals (who are asking basic questions here). :ninja:

It all adds up to spam. ;)

Let's not crap up these forums with personal attacks in the future!
