When I do an old house (like the 40s), I first use a 4000 PSI John Deere pressure washer to knock off most of the old paint, saves on sanding it off, but then I notice that I am a lot of times knocking off way more than would have come off with scraping, in other words, knocking off more paint probably than necessary because my washer is so strong, then I have to sand more in turn, making more work for me. A lot of times it also messes up the wood, makes deep grooves and stuff.
Anybody know a better, faster, more effective way to knock off old paint flakes without overdoing it?
Thanks!
