I have noticed that when we do long straight walls, when you use satin or semi gloss that when you look down the wall standing close to the wall, you can see (we're rolling out the walls) different sheens showing? Why is this? is there a way to prevent this? Thanks guys :)

if its bare sheetrock make sure u prime well and use 2 coats, make sure you lay off the paint in the same direction either up or down whichever you prefer, if its over previously painted surface, make sure you use 2 top coats, sometimes a little water in the final coat will help also

its repaints in offices...buildings where they have individual offices around the edges of the floor and a big area of cubicles in the center, with long walls in that area. The old walls were painted with satin/eggshell. We are using Purdy Collosus covers with Superpaint. I think your right though Timhag, I wish there was someone around to teach me.

I have found that you have to roll really fast to keep a wet edge. If you are painting left to right....dont ever roll back to the left more than about 12 inches. Work in small sections, 1 to 2 roller widths at a time and roll ceiling to floor and remember to never go back to the left
