I have an extra 3 gallons ProMar 200 Primer left and was hoping I could use that to spray crown mounding trim. What I have read says that you can, and the SW rep I called said that it would be fine. All I have read on PaintTalk was for priming drywall. The crown is clear, no knots, and I was going to topcoat with advance. Got around 400' to do. Thoughts? The primer is basically free.

I would not use it over clear finish on crown. 200 primer is just a latex, not a full acrylic, and definately not a bonding primer. Even though crown will never get touched, it is not safe IMO.
