Hi all,

Hope all is well in the painters world.

I've been painting for over 20years now and over those year primary interior/exterior custom/production work.

My question today is about new galvanized purlins(beams). Has anyone had any experience with prep and prime? I am certain that I will be topcoating with a premium acrylic. The job is interior and the newly galvanized is treated with a passivator.

I have done plenty of metal repaints with spot grinding and paint.

I do have an idea how to approach this but curious on any other recommendations?

Also, attached are pics. Fyi, metal decking will not be painted.
