I can't figure out the attachment layout. To the OP, please show a close-up of the attachment apparatus.
This is stainless steel 18 in roller cage. The block on the bottom opens up and locks onto the threaded portion of the extension pole. Made by a very small company about 15 years ago that made specialized painting equipment. Very simple design that worked very well. Just looking for the name of the company ,not smart ass comments.

You should know better that if you come on PaintTalk you'll get a few Smart ass comments😉. How do you already know it's a small company?🤔

I don’t think it was intended as a smart comment, he was asking for a better picture of attachment point, which I would also like.

I’ve thrown away a lot of stuck or broken roller cages. This one looks different, but how do they work? wonder if they make 9” frames.

There wasn't a bit of sarcasm in my reply and I'm not sure what led you to believe otherwise. I actually searched Google Lens for the image to try and find a match, but Google Lens sucks. I also tried searching with keywords about a nut being an attachment point, but to no avail. That will be exactly the last time I try to help you in any way.

I'm guessing the "smart a** comments" reference was re: Gwarel's post (#3 ~ "Looks like something my papaw made..."). Either way, however, bad form on the part of the OP. I'm not inclined to help either, even if I could.

Not a great design anyway. The Wooster 18's are fine for my liking.
I just assumed he was replying to me since he quoted my post and replied, but who knows. Some people just have a disconnect when it comes to etiquette I suppose.

At this point in my career smart ass comments are mostly what I bring to the forum. I prefer to use the term 'Humor", which used to be common in these discussions but has been absent lately. If they don't get it that's fine......

I've never seen anything like it in my 45 years of selling frames and covers. Looks like a first generation power roller based on the joints would be my best guess. I can remember a short lived spray extension with a roller frame attached to the extension pole from the mid 1990's? Did not work. Looks pretty heavy and bulky.

Wow - bet you are a hoot to be on a crew with.

Considering you have been on PT awhile, and that this is far from your first post, I’m rather surprised you responded the way you did. Members typically realize pretty quickly that some good natured ribbing or joking is to be expected and that no disrespect is generally intended. Regardless, being a bit less touchy in the future might be something for you to consider - assuming you actually want anyone to continue to help you out.

I'm kind of interested in this. Where are they available for purchase? A quick web search didn't reveal anything..

If someone can point me in the right direction or shoot a link, I'd appreciate it.
