I'm repainting the painted wood pickets surrounding a house front porch. Many pickets will need to be smoothed out with a grinder, due to dog chewing. However, there are also many places on the bottom board between the pickets with peeling paint due to weathering, etc. I generally use a 4.5" grinder to take off badly-peeling paint, but these pickets are too close together to fit the grinder in between, and I have only sporadic success with hand scrapers. Does anyone use (or know of) a tool that can get into small spaces (approx. 3") like these? I've searched online for a mini-grinder that size, but as of yet to no avail. Any suggestions, other than scraping endlessly with my 5-in-1 tool?
