I am looking at a deck which was previously stained (solid color). Some peeling but actually pretty stable. I don't want to strip completely and the customer wants a solid stain again anyway. Just curious as to your opinions between Hirshfields vs. SW for this application (Minnesota - east and south facing)

I do use Cabots, but in this case I would spec Sikkens Rubold DEK

Sikkens Solid is good stuff coat a few bucks more the Cabots thats for sure but I would second the use of that as well

i think cabot's is a good recommendation too. better than sw i think
