My first thought was Monty Python's "Spanish Inquisition" skit where soft pillows, sarcasm, and the "comfy chair" are used to tortue heretics into confessing their sins.

It appears that there is a little more to the sponge than what we typically think of sponges. I don't have a need for such blasting, but it's nice to know such alternatives exist.

Done it. It's something I did when working on the submarines a few years back. Pretty much the same result as regular blasting believe it or not.

Sponge blasting sounds great to me... if you have a market for it, I'll be there!
Wait... what is the downside?

Dude.. I go around calling myself "Abrasive Dan" (due of course to my knowledge of the lovely world abrasives - nothing to do with my personality) and I had never heard of sponge blasting. You just blew my mind.
