I will preface this by saying I am an amateur/hobbyist.

I made a small wire sculpture out of 14 ga galvanized steel wire. I want to paint it black and think spray paint is the best way to go as the wire is still fairly flexible. I have read that you should avoid certain paints on galvanized metal as it will cause chipping and won't last as long. Just looking to make the wire black. Do you have any suggestions on what spray paint to use or look for? The piece is to sit on a desk, indoors, with little handling or damage expected.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Since it’s a sculpture and as you stated should not be subject to any wear and tear, just use an acrylic rattle can spray paint like Krylon H2O which is designed not to react to galvanized surfaces.
