I have a commercial office building that I'm doing. It's about 12,000 Sq ft with carpet that is staying. It has a pre hung ceilings in 75% of the rooms. So my question is "since this is my first big commercial job" should I just cut and roll the rooms or try and mask the ceilings and spray? Would it make sense to spray first coat, then spray trim and cut and roll second coat?:001_unsure:

Thanks.

depends. is the place empty or does it have desks etc. etc. in it?

easiest thing to do if it's empty is spray. You don't even have to mask off the ceiling, just turn your pressure down and go up 70% of the wall or so. Then just spray from the ceiling down with a helper holding a paint shield up against the joint where the ceiling meets the wall.

Either that or convert the rig to utilize a pressurized roller. You can fly pretty quick that way as well, just mask the floors off near the wall for splatter or whatever.

I'd roll it as well.

I applaud all of the members that helped this guy out...w/o giving him any crap.

Which way did you bid the job? Brush and roll or mask and spray or just a WAG?
