thinking of moving from nj to rochester ny

I have been a painting contractor for 12 years on my own and painting for20( with the exception of four years in the marines i have always painted) I have have a good business in nj Just started to make money in the last 5 years my sister and parents live in rochester ny they love it I live in summit nj 12 miles outside of nyc problem is cost of living here is insane the house i grew up in my father bought for $18000 in 1964 if i wanted to buy it today it would cost me 1.2mil cost of living is much less in rochester and well i geuss what i am asking is has any one moved there business from one locale to another and what were the positives and negatives
