Hi everyone. I'm painting in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and I've been trying to get my paint business together for about five years. It's been a learning experience. I hope I can pick up some things around here.
Whoever started this site had a great idea.
I Love Ypsi! I was shipped out of town for a few months to paint the hotel next to the Holiday Inn in Anne Arbor.
We all used to go to a little bar in Ypsi on open mike night, and rock the house. We thought we had the hotel to ourselves Mon-Fri, so the 10 of us would jam in the hotel on the other nights. My roommate was a heavy metal 19 year old apprentice, and was doing his version of "Frankenstine" with his 3 foot amp wide open. Things were falling off the dressers.
Little did we know ... we didn't have the place to ourselves that night. There was a knock at the door, I opened it, and it was Ziggy Marley. WOW! He said, "Ya distubbin' da peace, man." ... I guess he was playing UofM the next day. He travels with a freeky croud!
Any way, I love Ypsi! Welcome from Chicago.
