I would probably have to agree with that one.

Also not hiring relatives.

Although I tend to look back fondly on all the mistakes I have made, the early partnership that is now dissolved, taking jobs I knew I shouldn't, etc. I don't think I would be in half as good a position as I am in now without them.

Signing a $40,000 contract with a company I didn't know, for a space I'd never seen(by a business partner that didn't work out)
where I didn't really read the fine print! And I certainly didn't have my own contract in there anywhere......hmmmmm. like getting paid in 45 days or when the GC gets paid, whichever is LATER!!!!!

HAHA I love learning!

Hiring a friend that turned out to be an awesome painter has proved a huge headache and not firing as soon as I should with other employees.
