Wall Paper Stripping Demand and Your Market

Let me first say that I do advertise for wall paper stripping. It seems like I have been getting more calls for this service lately. The home owners that I have worked for are in realitively newer homes, maybe 10-15 years old. I have stripped in much older homes with plaster walls, but there are fewer customers in this category. How is your market, do folks want new paint, or paper? Colors seem to be going to more earthy tones, no accent walls, at least for me. Just wondering if there is a trend to get rid of wall paper and replace with paint. Opinions, observations?

Happy painting, Paul.

We also advertise for stripping, i love getting these types of job cause there is lots of money to be made. We do as many as we can. The ones we do are for stripping and painting.
Bid for worst possible solution and hope for the best. When bidding for worst, you will not go wrong.
Left over paste residue is washed over and over until we feel its all off. Yes, there are some walls/rooms that have to be completely skimmed.
. Also try to tear a little off, but don't be deceived, one spot does not a whole room make. .

Happy painting, and stripping, Paul. :drink:
Right on the money.sometimes we start with dif and end up using a steamer to finish on the same wall.
Best case 1 day if it would peal of with little residue left behind, worst case, couldn't tell ya brother....it is what it is, drive in and get busy.
Hey ********, back to my original question, do you get calls for wall paper stripping?
I would think not Mr. Paul, chip is asking some basic questions he would have the answer 2 if he was experienced. No disrespect here chip.
