some with a simple shop-vac.

It is illegal to allow ANYthing but rain-water into the storm drain..
even if the water "dried-up" before it gets there..
The next rain-storm can flush it the rest of the way to the storm drain, YOU are liable.
Think Twice, clean once, stay profitable.

Yeah, they are very strict nowadays. We recently had our pool drained since the chemistry was too far off to fix. Our pool guy said he had to pull a permit to drain the pool into the gutter. The next day after the we got the permit, someone from the city came out to test the water and give the ok.

don't miss an opportunity to get jobs easier..
carry the "enviro-Friendly" flag in your marketing.
If you buy WashWaterControl tools, they WILL make you more money..
Bring 'em with, and "show people" they are ready for action.
And take pictures for your portfolio when you do use them.

I am 90% residential work and berming and diversion is all we really every need but I do have a pump system and covers when a commercial job calls for it. Haven't invest in filtration yet as the need hasn't arisen.. but it may in the near future.

This is such a good topic to bring up that I really think needs addressed. I know of many San Francisco roofing contractors who are trying to band together to make this better in their field. Let's try to do our part as well!

We actually manufacture in a zero discharge facility. All our wash water is recycled, none of it leaves the facility. It's pretty cool. I think those efforts carried to the field make allot of sense. We are in a transitional time, but the end result is inevitable, do it, or pay a fine or worse.
