I looked at some finished stained trim today where the house had water damage from a roof leak. It left the trim with water stains. Any advice on getting the stains out and making it look good again?

Without seeing what you are describing is hard to choose a road to lead you. How big of an area? You may want to replace a section with new. May want to 220 and re-poly. Hard to tell, need more info.

Yes I figured I was lacking enough info. I will check it again when I go back tommorrow to be more specific. There doing a bunch of other things and when I did a walkthrough they didnt really sound like they wanted the woodwork done so I didnt pay much attention. Just trying to get any info I could before I go look at it again. I'll report back with better info.

I'd suggest trim replacement...just that section

To really clean it up for stain it should come out anyway...might as well not bother cleaning it up (which may or may not work depending) and just put in a section of new
