Hi, long time listener, first time caller. How much should I charge to paint a barn? Anyone have a good idea on the going rate for my area? ;)

LOL, we should keep a running tally of how many times those two questions come up.

Barn owners are always looking for the cheapest price. They don't care about insurance or over spray on their hay. They just want cheap, cheap, cheap. They don't care if they have to paint again in 2 years. They just want their barn to look pretty for Elsie so she'll give 'em lots of milk.

I would like to suggest a spell checker. I normaly do alright but it would be a nice feature. Have seen them on other forum sites.
Nope, that would be Bob & Tom.
Bob and Tom

Are you using IE or Firefox?

Also, if you have the Google Toolbar it has a built in spell checker that I use and it works well.
I Dont Even Know Who Bob or Tom is ...:confused1:

Don't worry about it... just two guys from ContractorTalk.com.

Man you guys been getting this question forever.
Being that I live in a barn, I feel uniquely qualified to offer my entirely unqualified opinion on the matter. Charge two to three big ones. Yes, you heard right. Two hundred dollars. The person paying you likely won't realize you're living in it and growing weed until you've set the place ablaze and made your escape. Hopefully, at least.

Edit: also, someone should go halves with me on a box of brushes. In open to about a half dozen different types that I'm certain I'd go through.

Would those prices be relevant over a decade later?
A thread from 2007. lol
Good god, this runaway inflation is actually affecting the space-time continuum. Not good, gentlemen. Not good at all.
