What cleans tree sap from sidding?

I have tried goof off, mineral sprits, and turpintine, it is still there.
:mad: I have been told tar remover might work.

My understanding is that most tree saps are water soluable. That is why they bleed through latex paints. I would think, as stansoph suggested, a good detergent and a little elbow grease would do the job. Just don't get the elbow grease on the siding, because then you will have to clean that off.
