I'm going to start a big job at a home. Has been painted with oil paint on the trim, doors, and windows. Latex on the walls. What paint should be used first? Should the base boards be taped? Or cut in the whole room first with latex wall paint and wipe off spray? How would you start a job like this?

we will need more information..... are you doing the ceilings?


I always do ceilings first.... then trim...then walls... I don't use tape unless I'm
striping or hanging plastic.

What are you putting on oil or latex?...have you even discussed this with the homeowner?
