Hey everyone!

I hope you are all busy and that business is smokin' right now! I am curious though, especially those of you who do not have a set marketing/advertising calendar, when do you start thinking about advertising and marketing for the Fall/Autumn?

I know a lot of this depends on your location and your individual company specialties (interior vs. exterior; re-paint vs. new costruction) but I'm just wondering if there is a pattern that you follow?

Is it ever too soon to start thinking about booking jobs for the Fall?

Do you offer any "early-bird" incentives?

Thanks for any feedback!

It's never too early.

I offer a 10% discount for "early signers". It's never good to wait until things slow up (or might potentially slow up) to start looking for work...it's all about keeping things running on an even keel year round.

It's very important to advertise all year, but also important to focus differently on each season, since each has different aspects.

I couldnt agree with you more. Advertise now for winter people think painting spring and summer.

Now!

We don't need any more exteriors this summer (the end of the summer will be filled by default marketing we gain from our job sites). Which has afforded me the luxury of being able to think about booking interior work now.

Hi Maniac

On the money.

Marketing is a mind set. it is the backbone of your business. Without it your talent is lost. No profits. Business suffers.

Truth is there is no summer, fall, winter, spring. There is only now. The now determines what we do. it is one seamless web.

Successful marketing is a balancing act. Once you discover this secret, things happen effortlessly.
