Sorry guys,

Once again our web hosting company is having problems. This time it's not a server issue but a connectivity issue. I'm trying to get it fixed as fast as possible and I'm sorry for the trouble.

We will be moving hosts soon.

Thanks,
Nathan

If I wasn't such an addict I wouldn't have noticed...I hopped on my wife's laptop to see if it got better...least we know, thanks Nathan

Saw the problem earlier but it's clear now. Still having trouble with the funky login after deleting cookies though.
I really wish I knew the answer to that one... sorry it's still a problem. once again I'd just keep your cookies if possible. The only reason for deleting them is if someone is using your computer who you don't trust.

I know, but I've always kept it super clean. I don't trust anyone or anything and it's pretty easy to go to tools/delete ALL.

LOL, I watched live free, die hard for the first time, and now more than ever, I want to keep it clean.

It may be overkill, but i do the IE, delete all, privacy eraser and run reg. supreme at least once a day.

If I get motivated, I'll try to figure out how to exclude the PT cookie from the cleaning.

Nathan it must be very frustrating for you to be doing everything right and end up handcuffed by your hosting. I have avoided CT because of the inordinate load times. I am assuming you are on dedicated servers or will be moving to them?

Ken, I am trying to move to a faster server in the next few weeks however the sites should have only been slow from about 4:00pm - 8:00pm yesterday. Overall the site aren't slow for me. PaintTalk.com is on the same server as ContractorTalk.com and therefore should load with the same speed.

Are you saying that CT is always slow for you?

Nathan, yes. I would say over the last six weeks or so. If its not server related it may be something on my end. I don't get time-outs or anything extreme but with all said and done I wait about 15-20 seconds for complete load of the index. That's with a 10 Meg cable connection.

That seems to have helped. I clocked 9 seconds for the new posts search to load. Thats a d-base search though and is reasonable. Beofre that was taking upwards of 30 seconds for me.

I'm gonna bookmark this post since the moderators on ContractorTalk.com always call me crazy for telling people to press CTRL+F5
