Anyone use Cloverdale paint? It's a Canadian Product and I have been asked to use it instead of the usual. I expect it won't be the first request like this over the next 4 years. I have visited the store and spoke with their reps but I would like an unbiased professional opinion and advice on its strengths and especially it's pitfalls so I can try to avoid them.
Thank you

My painting requests run the gamut of crayon and marker coated walls to anything a homeowner feels like they can't do themselves. It's rarely a simple paint job. The platform I use doesn't do quotes so I'm usually going in with surprises and that means last minute research. Was hoping a to have a better forewarned and forearmed situation for future.

I've been using Cloverdale for years. The only place where they're a little light is on the industrial side of things. For residential and commercial they have you covered. Premium classic or Super 2 is all you need for wall paints. Good hide and great sheen. I use a lot of Ecologic, but I do commercial/institutional work. I'd still use it on residential trim though.

Yeah the light colours (whites/off whites) have not been so great lately. I think they cut back on the Ti02 to reduce costs after the coof. I have noticed some improvement lately, but its not like it used to be. I find this particularly annoying as its the primary colour in the largest institution I maintain. I haven't found a suitable cloverdale product that provides the kind of hide I used to get from Ecologic in white, so I just put up with it. They do have a version of Ecologic called ColourCoat, but that's more for yellows and reds. If your colour is yellowish, you might ask them about it.

I haven't used Aura in a long time, but that one always had incredible hide. Of course, they won't match anyone else's colours, so that rarely helps.
