I put on the Rustoleum 2 part epoxy floor on my garage floor. I think my floor was too porous so i didn't get good coverage of the epoxy. It still is rough floor not smooth as I thought. Can I still use the Seal Krete Clear-Seal Gloss sealer to re-cover the floor on top of the epoxy? It states on the label not to use on 2part epoxy floor but since the floor looks rough I thought it would also adhere to it. The guy as Lowe's says it's fine on epoxy floor but second guessing him since the label says differently.

Very insightful TJ, very informative!

Anyone else want to give PaintTalk a bad rep with responses like that? I came here thinking people here had some knowledge. Prove me wrong!

You made your own problem by being too cheap to hire a pro.

This isn't a site for cheap homeowners to get tips on how to fix messes they make.

You might get a few helpful responses, but overwhelmingly they're probably gonna tell you to look elsewhere. In all fairness, this is a forum for painting contractors, and homeowners asking questions on their DIY projects aren't well received.

You'll most likely be redirected here:

The few times i have had to go to lowes, i completley disregaurd anything and everything their employees say. I usually try and look really pissed off so no one approachs me, then that one brave SOB has to be the employee of the month. And i say no as soon as he starts to open his mouth.

Hope this helps! Good luck with your project!

lol, who said I have a problem or it's a mess. I didn't, I can live with the floor they way it is, but I wanted added protection. I'm a very capable DIY'er, who just wants info on why the 2 can't be used together.

You don't even know me to call me cheap. I've dealt with many contractors who DON'T do it right and charge arm and a leg. Especially on painting the interior of my whole house, I would have done it better.

Also why waste your time and my time replying to a topic that you might not know about.

Timalin Thanks for taking the time to post your question on PT. This is a sitre for professionals so if you could please redirect your question to www.DIYChatroom.com there are many helpful members there and many that frequent this site.

TJ and S&C imo your posts were not very helpful and maybe sometimes no post is better than a post. DIY'ers find there way to this site all the time and many are deflected before making a post and some never post and some post and get treated roughly. If this was a potential customer I am sure the tone would be different. Either way I think this will be a mod discussion.
